These Eyes

These eyes begin to stare too much at colors tuckered-out
And judge the clouds along its lines and light it brings about
For what they see, you’ll never know are pulses of quickened pace
They know by heart that every thought is of laughter and disgrace

But these eyes; they choose to watch and love one parade alone
In defiance of that one show’s light that leave them just mind blown
These eyes are blinded so many times of what they think they see
When all that there really is to watch is a spark of buried glee

These eyes; they try time and again to dig deeper and find out
Only to find an empty space where life was meant to sprout
They start to fill that empty space without a single doubt
And soon enough these eyes will see those colors tuckered-out
